Roles and Responsibilities

As a senior analytics machine learning engineer, you will be responsible for the development of analytic modules in commercial software development environment, you will be independently study and transform data science prototypes, design machine learning and advanced analytics systems, research and implement appropriate ML algorithms and tools, develop machine learning and advanced analytics applications according to requirements

In this role, you will:

  • You will apply a structured process for discovery, development, testing, and quality validation supported by Agile Framework and Software Development Lifecycle management
  • In this role you will work on a development team of Analytics Engineers, Data Scientists and Data Engineers. You will also work cross-functionally with Software Engineers, Product Managers, and Customers
  • Understand whole product; its modules and the interrelationship between them while being an expert in the assigned component or module
  • Articulate the need for scalability and understand the importance of improving quality through testing.
  • Be an expert in assessing analytics and model performance and optimizing/improving it through design and best coding practices
  • Responsible for developing Production level commercial Analytics that leverage Statistical, Machine Learning and other techniques applied to Predictive and Prescriptive use cases.
  • Write code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project
  • Ability to rapid prototype to make lightweight Proof of Concept Demos (POCs)
  • Develop machine learning architecture, pipelines, and engines like recommendation systems for use in production

NOTE: This role will be hybrid work location in the U.S.

Education Qualification

For roles outside USA:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with advanced experience.

For roles in USA: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) preferred with minimum years of experience 4 years

Desired Characteristics

Technical Expertise:

  • Ability of understanding of data structures, software architecture, data modeling in machine learning, statistical analysis, signal processing, data labelling, and data mining and effectively transforming data science prototypes to product.
  • Hands-on experience in developing analytic solutions with languages and frameworks as Python, R, Java, Hadoop, etc.
  • Hands-on experience in rapid prototyping and packages in Python like DASH, React.js, Flask, Plotly for visualization apps
  • Hands-on experience in web services (REST, SOAP, WSDL etc.), and database, PostgreSQL etc.
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) machine learning services like Sagemaker, Lambda
  • Knowledge and awareness of open source AutoML packages like Pandas Profiler, TPOT, PyCaret, Snorkel
  • Experience with deploying and maintaining applications using Container technology like Docker, Kubernetes and EKS
  • Experience with developing recommender systems that use statistical, or machine learning algorithms on unstructured text data.

  • Demonstrates awareness of important current trends (economic, political, environmental, regulatory, etc.) affecting the industries that GE Digital operates in
