Role Description:

Salesforce Data Cloud is a fast growing product in Salesforce. Data Cloud allows you to ingest, harmonize, unify, and analyze streaming and batch data. Then use that data to unlock meaningful and intelligent experiences across Customer 360 applications and beyond. Data Cloud allows you to create unified customer profiles across all touchpoints by connecting identities, engagement data, customer orders, loyalty, and marketing journeys, Build smarter audience segments using insights and filtering capabilities, Activate data from anywhere across your organization, Capture and unify data from anywhere with a high-scale data ingestion service, Analyze your data using tools like Tableau or Marketing Cloud Intelligence.

We are seeking experienced software engineers to join a motivated group of engineers, product managers & designers. As an engineer you will develop deep technical skills by virtue of building a planet scale public cloud service with compelling user experiences. You will be responsible for technical leadership and contributing end to end from empathy studies, ideation, design, development and customer success.

Your Impact:

• Build new and exciting components in an ever-growing and evolving Data Cloud technology to provide scale and efficiency.

• Develop high-quality, production-ready code that can be used by millions of users of our applications

• Make design decisions on the basis of usability, extendability, scalability, and future expansion.

• Work in a Hybrid Engineering model and contribute to all phases of SDLC including design, implementation, code reviews, automation, and testing of the features.

• Build efficient components/algorithms on a microservice multi-tenant SaaS cloud environment

• Code review, mentoring junior engineers, and providing technical guidance to the team (depending on the seniority level)

• Proactive in foreseeing issues and resolving it before it happens

• Vocally advocating for technical excellence and helping the teams make good decisions

Required Skills:

• Mastery of multiple programming languages and platforms;

• 8+ years of software development experience;

• Deep knowledge of object-oriented programming and other scripting languages: Java, Python, Scala C#, Go, Node.JS and C++;

• Strong SQL skills and experience and experience with relational and non-relational databases e.g. (Postgress/Trino/redshift/Mongo).

• Experience with developing Web/SAAS applications over public cloud infrastructure - AWS/Azure/GCP;

• Proficiency in queues, locks, scheduling, event-driven architecture, and workload distribution, along with a deep understanding of relational database and non-relational databases;

• A deeper understanding of software development best practices and demonstrating leadership skills;

• Degree or equivalent relevant experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on the core competencies for the role.
