This Senior Manager, Business Data Quality will help the Data Strategy & Operations team achieve our vision of having the most accurate, reliable business data in our primary Salesforce org. Initially, they will be responsible for three main areas of data quality:
Data Quality Framework and Solution - development and maintenance of a business rules-based data quality solution to assess and address our data quality; Go-to-Market Data Quality - implementation of the Data Quality framework for all aspects of our GTM data, root cause analysis of underlying issues, and working cross-functionally within and beyond our team to prioritize and address the causes of poor quality; Cross-functional Stakeholder Data Quality - implementation of the Data Quality framework on behalf of our stakeholders and enabling them to address their own data quality issues. Leading a more technical team, this role will also help to develop solutions to help scale our data governance operations and audit capabilities and partner with our data engineering, data science and data visualization teams to deliver cutting edge solutions that harness the best of our combined capabilities.

This role must be able to evangelize the business value of data quality initiatives and develop and execute on a vision to realize the benefits of improved data quality maturity across the company. In order to be successful, they must be able to speak the language of our stakeholders in order to communicate value and translate business requirements into technical solutions.

This role will lead a small mostly technical team and must be able to guide the day-to-day work and career progression of team members with business analysis, data/technical analysis, solution engineering, and data visualization skills. This person must also be able to be successful in an unstructured, geographically distributed, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Own Business Data Quality framework and solution aligned with our broader team standards
  • Take primary responsibility for our Go To Market data quality strategy, measuring quality, performing manual QA validations, completing root cause analysis, and influencing the roadmap for our teams that own the automated and manual enrichment of our data
  • Manage ambiguity, effectively cope with change, shift gears comfortably, decide and act without having a clear vision or total picture, and handle risk and uncertainty
  • Prepare executive business presentations to showcase the value of data quality and find new ways to help improve data quality/maturity for the business
  • Guide the business in the documentation of data quality rules and create and maintain data quality scorecards on their behalf
  • Manage personal and professional development of team
  • Develop strong working relationships around the company to identify new opportunities and partnerships
  • Ensure high quality execution of deliverables in accordance with team standards and SOPs and to improve our data management maturity score over time
  • Wear multiple hats and demonstrate business and technical competencies to influence wide range of enterprise stakeholders
  • Advocate for Salesforce values. Courageously communicate against unconscious and conscious bias
  • You are flexible, adaptive, and resilient


Required Skills:

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science / Business / Mathematics or similar field
  • SQL experience required (preferable Oracle or Postgres or Snowflake)
  • Advanced analytics skills - Tableau preferred
  • Dashboard UX design experience
  • The ability to analyze, model and interpret data
  • Root cause analysis
  • Python coding experience - advance knowledge of data wrangling for developing insights
  • Executive presentations and story-telling
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Roadmap development and influence
  • Experienced with Salesforce functionality (Sales Cloud), metadata management and configuration
  • Agile project management/scrum master
