One of the fastest growing functions in Salesforce Security Assurance organization, the Customer Success & Advocacy Team (CSAT), is looking for a strong individual contributor in this role. The team is chartered to scale proactive security investments and controls including, but not limited to, security design reviews, threat modeling, code analysis, secure software supply chain, hardened public cloud infrastructure, and offensive security engagements. As a Senior Data Analyst, your customer base will include engineers, developers, executives, product owners and passionate fellow security professionals. You will be on the frontline of providing security assurance to our stakeholders by analyzing, visualizing, and effectively communicating security risk and performance an intuitive manner.
 

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of security data visualizations and reports that communicate key insights and high priority security actions to a variety of audiences both within and outside the Salesforce Security Organization
• Work with various Salesforce Security program stakeholders to perform risk-based data analysis and communicate results to stakeholders using tools such as Tableau, Redshift, and Splunk
• Drive multi-stakeholder projects to uplift data availability and usability for high priority data analysis and insights
• Partner closely with customers at each stage of the product development lifecycle to produce effective security reporting and analysis products
• Build relationships with engineers, developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to gain a deep understanding of what security metrics and reports will be most impactful and actionable
• Develop and scale data visualization and reporting best practices across Salesforce Security Program Stakeholders

Required Skills

• 5+ years experience working in a data analysis and reporting focused role in a technology heavy industry (e.g. Financial Services)
  and 2+ years working in a security role OR 3-4+ years working in a role requiring security knowledge (e.g., software engineer or developer with responsibilities for securing their code)
• Proven ability to effectively analyze, visualize, and communicate information security data, including measures and metrics
• Ability to summarize the key takeaways from a data analysis or security metrics and up-leveling or tailoring the message as necessary for different audiences
• Experience working in close partnership with customers/users and passionate about alleviating customer pain with innovation
• Demonstrated exceptional customer empathy and passion for alleviating customer pain with innovation
• Deep technical curiosity and ability to absorb new technical and business context quickly
• Self-starter, able to make progress on work with a moderate to high amount of autonomy

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience using Tableau or Tableau CRM
• Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) certifications
• Ability to apply Agile Software Development methodologies
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related discipline
