Job Description

The Global Sales Intelligence is looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to develop tools , insights and technologies to help our sales and marketing fraternity to focus on the right products to sell to the right accounts at the right time. We are looking for someone to join our team to work on groundbreaking R&D projects, to leverage massive structured, unstructured, transactional and real-time data sets from a variety of sources, to analyze usage and behavior patterns. We aim to provide actionable recommendations and insights to enable our sales teams to increase their productivity, remove obstacles and reduce their time spend on on-sales activities.

The machine learning engineer will build ML systems and AI services partnering with various business stakeholders to make our predictions more accurate, insights more tailored and actionable . This role will also focus on implementing scalable software engineering architecture and the state-of-art algorithms to enhance the scalability and transcend the product into the next level .This role will be responsible for translating business and functional requirements into concrete work with the design, development, testing, and deployment of highly scalable distributed services.

The ideal candidates should have a solid background in machine learning and software engineering, model development and testing, model explanations, data visualization, and production automation. They should exhibit technical acumen, product sense, and business savvy, with a passion for making an impact through creative storytelling and timely actions.

Responsibilities

• Work with data scientists, data analysts to design best-suited, robust, and scalable ML solutions and evaluate the deployed ML model’s effectiveness.
• Write robust production-level and well tested code and engage in code reviews.
• Build ETL pipelines with SQL and Python based technologies and platforms.
• Deploy ML model pipelines, scale through Big Data, optimize performance and automate fail-over.
• Own the machine learning pipeline end-to-end (data pipeline, model development and optimization, and insight delivery)
• Work with different technologies (Python, R, shell scripts) and translate logic into well-performing SQL or other relational language and/or platform.
• Develop data products on SQL (Oracle, Snowflake) and Python on cloud platforms (AWS, GCP). Be prepared to learn new platforms and syntax with short ramp-up cycles.
• Scale and automate the current product using tools like Pyspark and Airflow
• Partner and communicate with stakeholders to plan the additional features to be added to the product scope on a monthly basis
• Acquiring, analyzing, and structuring large amounts of data to provide key business insights across disparate sources of data
• Continuously improve on existing processes, automate existing analyses, define standard methodologies, and provide thought leadership around product initiatives
• Using statistical tools/ML algorithms to identify, analyze, and interpret patterns and trends in complex data sets could be helpful for the diagnosis of existing machine learning products
• Develop skills to integrate forward into a data scientist role and contribute to product innovation
• Be prepared for changes in business direction and understand when to adjust designs.
• Demonstrate operational excellence and a strong can-do attitude.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent/related degree.
• 2+ years of experience in machine learning product development is a must
• Strong skills working with very large data sets with a variety of tools; experience in dealing with performance and scaling issues.
• At least 2 years of professional experience with SQL(Oracle and snowflake), Python, and technologies like airflow, Pyspark, etc
• Technical know-how about Data science and learning attitude to transcend into a Data scientist role in the long term
• Strong communication and negotiation skills to partner with stakeholders for product feature planning and roadmap
• Ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks in a highly dynamic environment with a results-oriented mindset.
• Strong problem solving with acute attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines and project plans.
• Ability to work effectively in an unstructured and fast-paced environment both independently and in a team setting, with a high degree of self-management.
• Familiarity with Scrum/Agile project management methodologies.
• Strong team player to collaborate with other teams and make the product successful

Preferred Requirements:

• Should be an expert in Python, SQL, and automation technology
• Should have technical know-how about Data science and be willing to expand into a data scientist role in the long term
• Should have a strong learning attitude to learn and test new technologies and algorithms
• Should have good communication skills to partner and negotiate timelines with stakeholders
