Job Description

Salesforce Einstein is seeking a software engineer specialized in Machine Learning and Software as a Service (SaaS) technologies to help us deliver on our next generation of

AI/ML services for Salesforce.

You will work on designing and bringing world-class ML services to production, powering products used by millions of people every day.

You will be embedded in a team of fellow data scientists, machine learning engineers, software developers, product managers and designers sharing a passion for building data-driven, well-designed and well-tested products and systems.

Our mission is to build multi-tenant, scalable, secure, cloud-agnostic and performant AI services, starting with Vector Search as a service which is a critical component of most Salesforce Einstein applications.

The role requires a strong outstanding teammate who is comfortable working closely with product and engineering using Agile principles.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, ship and support cloud-native AI services serving millions of requests daily and powering a large variety of Salesforce Einstein products
• Build large-scale data pipelines and computation systems that process massive amount of data
• Build multi-tenant RESTful services for low-latency similarity search at scale
• Work with multiple expert teams, finding opportunities for improving our multi-tenant machine learning pipelines. This includes internal product teams to help them bring machine learning into their products
• Bring new technologies and frameworks to our teams. Collaborating with platform engineering to help guide and design solutions for new machine learning services, tools and approaches for multi-product, multi-tenant solutions

Skills

• At least 1 year of hands-on experience in engineering positions focused on Machine Learning, Information Retrieval or Recommender systems
• Strong programming skills in Java, Python or Scala
• Experience working with AWS or other cloud providers
• REST APIs and general API design experience
• Experience in building SaaS applications/services from the ground up
• Experience delivering and owning web-scale data systems in production
• Experience building and releasing software using Docker containers
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Experience running deployment automation/configuration management systems (Chef, Puppet, Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation or others)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
