Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced AI/ML engineer to join our dynamic and innovative AI/ML team focused on vaccines research development(R&D), and medicine discovery. As Sr. AI/ML engineer, you will play a crucial role in leveraging and designing novel methodologies, algorithms, framework, and tools that enable more sophisticated and effective solutions to accelerate advancement in vaccines and medicine discovery. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders to implement cutting-edge AI/ML technologies that address critical challenges in vaccines and medicine development.

Responsibility

  • Engage with key stakeholders including researchers, scientist, clinicians, software engineers to translate business goals into specific software/machine learning requirements and implementation plan.
  • Apply advanced techniques to analyze complex biological data, identify patterns and generate insights that inform data-driven decision making.
  • Design, develop, and implement novel AI/ML models, algorithms, and data analytics systems that tailed to the specific needs of vaccine R&D and medicine discovery.
  • Identify and integrate diverse data sources, perform data preprocessing, feature engineering, and data integration tasks to optimize data quality for AI/ML models.
  • Train, validate, optimize, and fine-tune models using advanced machine learning techniques and frameworks, ensuring superior performance, generation, and interpretability.
  • Optimize and refine algorithms, tools and framework for improved performance, scalability and efficiency in handling large-scale biological datasets and complex tasks.
  • Stay update with the latest advancement in AI/ML techniques, frameworks, and tools and apply them in the pharmaceutical and biomedical domains.
  • Communicate findings, mythologies, and results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Why You?

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors in computer science, computer engineering, computational biology, computational chemistry, cheminformatics.
  • Experience with modern deep learning architecture including CNN, RNN, Transformer, and machine learning paradigms such as generative models and active learning.
  • Experience with advantage techniques such as deep learning, reinforcement learning and natural language processing.
  • Experience in Python or R and experiences with machine leaning libraries and framework (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn).

Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD or Master's in computer science, computer engineering, computational biology, computational chemistry, cheminformatics, with 5 years of post-doc experience (or MS in one of these fields with 8+ years of related experience).
  • Proven experience and ability to translate business needs to advanced analytics solutions in medicine or biological science.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to propose creative and efficient solutions to solve complex biological problems.
  • Independent, self-motivated, and able to excel in a goal-oriented, multifaceted, and fast-moving team environment are required.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional team and communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong publication history in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Knowledge of cloud platform (e.g., AWS, Azure) and distributed computing frameworks is a plus.
