Job Description

As Statistical Analyst, your role is to provide programmer/analyst expertise in delivering the programs and outputs.

Your responsibilities:

  • Writing specifications for SAS programs/macros for study specific analyses or at the standard level
  • Developing, maintaining and validating SAS programs/macros for study specific analyses or at the standard level
  • Plans and participates in programming/QC activities at a study- or standard level to deliver all data analysis outputs
  • Develops the tables, figures and listings (TFL)
  • Reviews and ensures adherence to standards at the study or standard level (e.g., especially in the area of Analysis Data Model (ADaM) and Study Data Tabulation Model (SDTM) datasets, derivation, output definition and implementation).
  • Author or co-author of programming and database specifications and documentation
  • May represent the programming function on the study team.

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Bachelor in Statistics, Mathematics, Informatics or equivalent in professional experience
  • Ability to understand statistical concept and to have knowledge in SAS
  • 3-6 years of experience in SAS programming (including SQL and SAS macro language)
  • Ability to design, test and maintain programs.
  • Ability to create programs for multiple use
  • Understanding of clinical trial process.
  • Basic knowledge of applied statistics is an asset.
  • written and verbal communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics it would be a plus:

  • Solid grounding in clinical, medical and pharmaceutical science with the ability to rapidly assimilate specific and detailed knowledge in these areas
  • Experience evaluating and effectively communicating evidence-based medicine
  • Ability to work in matrix and cross-functional teams
  • Strong scientific communication and presentation skills
  • pro-active ‘can-do’ mindset
