Job Description

As a Lead Data Scientist, working in GSK’s Global Decision Sciences & AI team, you will develop data products which use customer databases, AI/ML and statistical concepts to deliver impactful insights and decision support for GSK’s commercial leadership. You will have the exciting opportunity to apply innovative algorithms and methods, including generative AI, to make an impact on the business. You will design, build, and deploy data products that help GSK to deliver on our growth and performance ambitions.

About You:

The ideal candidate for this role:

  • Has an advanced degree (Master’s or better) in a quantitative field – e.g., data science, computer science, econometrics, mathematics / statistics, computational biology, biostatistics, etc.
  • Shows impressive understanding of data structures, algorithms, statistical concepts.
  • Has experience applying statistical concepts and machine learning algorithms in an industry or academic context.
  • Has worked with unstructured or minimally structured data, has done data cleaning, validation, preparation, feature engineering, etc.
  • Has 5+ years’ experience programming with data.
  • Comfortable coding in at least two of: Python, R and SQL.
  • Is a strong written and verbal communicator.
  • Enjoys working in a highly agile environment.
