Job Description

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of AI and data solutions to drive business performance and potential – Engage and end-to-end approach by connecting all the pieces of channel, system, data, leveraging all available assets to drive business results (i.e. CRM, external data…)
  • Create, align and drive Tech strategy for Marketing, Sales and Medical to (1) support/influence Marketing Strategy to maximize AI and digital technology (2) contribute to overall Tech strategy roadmap
  • Identify unmet business challenges including unmet medical needs and proactively address/propose solutions
  • Influence and lead adaption of AI and advanced digital solutions in marketing space, including but not limited to digital marketing
  • Establish strong partnership with Marketing, Sales, Medical and Business Excellence senior stakeholders and brand managers
  • Support Marketing strategy execution – product launch, brand visibility, lead generation, digital marketing customer journey, customer engagement, KPI, SEO, marketing agencies management
  • Work closely with Tech peers to support, guide, direct Product managers and Squad leaders to ensure key products and initiatives/projects are effectively connected to Marketing strategy
  • As a member of Japan Tech Leadership Team, lead department-wide initiatives not limited to his/her own space
  • Develop strong collaboration relationships with Tech peers and external partners at all levels (local/regional/global)
  • Lead, coach, mentor, develop members and take active role in overall department performance management process, by proactively providing feedback

Basic Qualification

Skill

  • Leadership skills, ability to influence non-tech background audiences at all levels (from staff to executive)
  • Profound knowledge and experience in Artificial Intelligence (including Generative AI), Machine Learning, from initial prototyping to system design and deployment
  • Extensive experience with Advanced Analytics and Artificial Intelligence, with a particular focus on Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Natural Language Understanding (NLU).
  • Demonstrated expertise in working with large language models, including their design, implementation, and deployment
  • Track record of translating complex Machine Learning and AI concepts into actionable solutions that drive business value
  • Experience with leading-edge NLP tools, libraries, and methodologies
  • Working understanding of branding and marketing fundamentals
  • Working understanding of development of methodologies (i.e. traditional waterfall, lean, agile)
  • Team development, talent development and performance management
  • Expertise in managing stakeholders at all levels - Excellent facilitation skills, able to bring together stakeholders with diverse agendas, gain alignment and drive change.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Strong prioritization based qualitative and quantitative business benefit

Experience

  • 10+ years of industrial experience in data, advanced analytics and AI with knowledge in data standard, security and governance.
  • 5+ years of leadership level experience with end-to-end digital services portfolio and budget management for a business of significant size and complexity
  • 3+ years of team management, using Agile
  • Marketing and/or technology strategy development
  • Management of technical partners and off-shore external partners
  • International working environment
  • Recent experience in leveraging modern technology (i.e. Computer Vision, AR/VR, IoT)

Education/certification/Language

  • Exceptional business communication skills in both Japanese and English
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in economics, business, statistics, applied mathematics or other quantitative fields OR
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science or related discipline

Preferred Qualification

Skill

  • Agile scrum master (with practical project leading/management experience)
  • Proficiency of Microsoft AZUR is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Agile tools (e.g. JIRA, VersionOne, Asana, Azure DevOps, GitHub etc) and methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) is preferred.

Experience

  • Any experience relevant to data/AI product development, data analytics /AI services delivery, analytics consultancy and digital marketing
  • Pharma industry experience or strong curiosity in learning knowledge in pharmaceutical of both commercial and medical
  • Enterprise agile coaching experience
