Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a Summer 2024 Intern Data Scientist and Analytics - Intern. In this role, you will perform exploratory research and analysis to identify novel and meaningful patterns in data and use statistical methods to reject or accept proposed hypotheses about relationships or latent predictive factors discovered through your work to provide business value. Areas of emphasis should include several of the following: applied statistics, text mining, natural language processing, deep learning, optimization, and other similar fields.
Additionally, you will develop, inspect, mine, transform, and model data to raise productivity, improve decision making, and gain competitive advantage in an engineering setting. You will work with technical developers and data scientists to define business outcomes and govern capabilities.
Basic Qualifications:
Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Systems, Computer Engineering, or Data Science.

Ability to Work Remotely:Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules:Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
