Description: Perform Data Analysis and Data Visualization tasks under the direction of an engineering supervisor, lead, or Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support various Missiles and Fire Control tasks. Tasks will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Collect, process, and analyze data to develop reports that answer business questions.
  • Analyze large datasets, draw valid inferences, and prepare insights in narrative or visual formats, including dashboards.
  • Interface with multiple MFC Engineering disciplines and various business areas to develop technical insights and new data tools in support of business transformation projects.


The location for this position is in El Paso, TX and will be a combination of remote telework and interactions at our MFC El Paso office. The position is a 40 hour work week during the summer transitioning to part-time (<20 hours per week) during fall and spring semesters.

Basic Qualifications: Current enrollment in an accredited Bachelor's or Master's program pursuing Engineering, Software or Computer Science, Science, Business degree, or other related technical discipline. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance is required.

Desired Skills: The candidate should have a strong foundation in mathematics or Data Sciences with an eagerness for technical growth.

Ability to work independently and as a team player to perform data analysis and compile results into weekly reports for management.

Knowledge of statistical and data visualization tools (MS Excel, Tableau, etc.)

Ability to Work Remotely: Full-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
