Description: Lockheed Martin is looking for a mid to senior-level A/AI Program Manager to join our Autonomous Systems business in Littleton, Colorado. At this location our Autonomous Systems business has experience in research and application of independent decision-making capabilities on robotic vehicles and systems in multiple domains. Employees focus on three core competencies — perception, planning, and control — to create robust and dependable products across its platforms.

In this exciting and groundbreaking role, the A/AI Program Manager will have the opportunity to lead the development of various AI and Machine Learning applications across a few very interesting product lines involving autonomous vehicles, crewed-uncrewed teaming, collaborative autonomy, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and similar technologies.

Key Responsibilities include directing all phases of programs from inception through completion. Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs. Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes. Leads the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract. Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test. Develops new business or expands the product line with the customer. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.

The PM will have the opportunity to interface with other teams involved in the development lifecycle for perception, mission and motion planning, simulation and modeling, testing, etc.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Program & Proposal/Capture Manager Experience
  • Experience in managing programs related to or background in Autonomy, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, World Modeling, Software or related field.
  • Ability to manage dynamic requirements and to coordinate among multiple stakeholders with competing or ill-defined requirements.
  • Demonstrated Strong Team Leadership Skills.
  • Demonstrated Strong Customer Interface Skills.
  • Bachelors degree in STEM or related field
  • Ability to obtain a secret clearance

Desired Skills:

  • Masters degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Software engineering/coding/autonomous vehicle experience
  • Security Clearance Statement:This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely:Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules:Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position:4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Pay Rate:

  • The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $123,500 - $236,800. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
  • Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
  • (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO); receive 40 hours of Granted PTO annually for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
