Need for a Data Engineer to Support Lockheed Martin's Business Transformation Efforts, and help the company grow and accelerate in an increasingly advanced technological landscape.

This individual will have the opportunity to support the Workstream Transformation portfolio, driving business transformation for functional users in conjunction with architects, software developers, and data scientists. They will be responsible for understanding the existing solution, virtualizing necessary data, and aligning the data models to enable the team to reuse various sources of data for a variety of solutions across several functional areas in the business.

This position requires a significant understanding of SQL and the ability to create various views/tables, and passion around working with software developers and data scientist to build data pipelines that enable application users to easily access and navigate relevant data to support their day to day activities.

The ideal candidate will drive innovation by aligning and leveraging data to drive strategic growth. Understanding and architecting data solutions will be key to this endeavor.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Successfully creating data pipelines and tables/views, connecting data sources in SQL, or data virtualization in TIBCO using SQL
  • ETL (joining, manipulating, “cleansing”) of source systems via SQL and ETL tools (i.e. BODS, Alteryx, Informatica)
  • Virtualization of data in TIBCO to create a virtual “clean” data output table and views
  • Understanding and development of API's

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of related experience within a corporate environment required; experience must include successful track record with intermediate/advanced SQL (various joins, calculations, partitions, functions, etc.), data architecture familiarity, and understanding of CI/CD application deployments
  • Experience writing SQL queries to create/modify views and tables via Extracting/Transforming/Loading (ETL)
  • Experience working with SAP HANA, HANA studio, HANA calculation views/ CDS and BOBJ (WEBI, Lumira)
  • Demonstrated success working with ambiguous requirements in cross-functional teams with both business and technical resources

Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Data Engineering, Data Science or a related field
  • Experience using Tibco Data Virtualization across multiple source systems
  • Broad experience and expertise working with various technologies such as Python and Python Libraries (i.e. Pandas, matplotlib, numpy, statsmodels, sklearn, sqlite, etc.)
  • Knowledge of information access and delivery methods, and an understanding of data warehousing/mining, ETL, data cleansing, and architecture

Pay Rate:

In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $91,400 - $152,300 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and business considerations when extending an offer.

This position is incentive plan eligible

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
