Overview

This role in PBNA Strategy & Transformation is responsible for working cross-functionally with our supply chain that is producing & distributing 2 billion cases of product through a network of 60 plants and 400 DCs annually. The Forecasting Analytics team plays a critical role in helping the supply chain function efficiently ensuring that service and inventory levels remain optimized across the businesses. The Forecasting Analytics team evaluates the full end-to-end supply chain network with a key focus on statistical forecasting, cost, capacity, capability and logistics. This role will be a hybrid office role operating 3 days per week out of the downtown office in Chicago, IL.

The Senior Statistical Modeler will be accountable for assisting the demand planning teams in supporting the recent deployment of the new Forecast to Schedule (FTS) solution with a focus on statistical model improvements. The chosen candidate is expected to have a strong background in one or all the following functions: demand planning, statistical forecasting, supply planning and material resource planning. This individual will partner extensively across the organization with sector and division planning leaders, IT, the PBNA Global Template project team and external partners, such as SAP.

 This role will require involvement in network simulation, onboarding and training new members, user acceptance testing and supporting deployment for network optimization, inventory optimization, production planning and replenishment planning.The position requires the utilization of PBNA supply, demand and material resource planning business processes to successfully maintain and enhance the new Forecast to Schedule solution to the sector and division teams. This individual should have the capability to report out to sector and division senior leaders on status and KPIs for demand and planning solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and maintain the statistical forecasting solution for demand planning (SAP IBP)
  • Provide SME knowledge and experience to project activities within demand planning, demand sensing, global IBP and Data & Analytics research projects
  • Ensuring data accuracy, completeness for key planning systems & metrics
  • Participate in network simulation and ensure overall quality of solution with focus on forecast improvement
  • Lead end user training
  • Lead solution adoption and change management through process improvement and application sustainability
  • Communicate gaps in FTS solution to the leadership team and develop action plans
  • Proactively reach out to external SMEs and functional team members for advice, guidance, and assistance
  • Continuous improvement of systems, tools, and processes in support of FTS

Other Details:

  • The role is a hybrid role with 3 days per week expected in the downtown Chicago office
  • This position is not eligible for relocation
  • Applicant must have permanent residence for work in the United States
  • Must be willing and able to travel 5-10% of the time

Compensation & Benefits:

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $81,000 - $135,600
  • Location confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 10% of annual salary paid out annually
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 4+ years planning, warehouse or transportation experience
  • Solid understanding of demand and supply planning systems, such as SAP IBP or JDA
  • Demonstrated project management skills and process orientation
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders through working with others
  • Demonstrated ability to independently prioritize work responsibilities

Preferred Skills:

  • Practical experience with model building, forecasting or data science
  • Practical application of programming capabilities in Python or R; VBA for Excel is a plus
  • Ability to challenge requirements and existing business processes to maintain and develop best practices
  • Open to both new ways of working and adopting industry standards and best practices
  • Flexible, resilient, and motivated to change and simplify processes
  • Demonstrated ability as an effective communicator, both written and oral
  • Demonstrated ability to articulate or demonstrate best practices
