Job Description

The Manager/Sr. Manager of Software Engineering will ensure we deliver the best possible software solutions and ensure they are generating value through cost savings or incremental value. This leader will work closely with the user experience, product, IT, and process engineering teams to develop new products and prioritize deliver solutions across S&T core priorities.

Accountabilities

• Ability to create test plans directly from requirements.
• Create manual testing scripts
• Create automation test scripts
• Periodically run the test scripts to confirm accuracy of the application
• Become an expert user of the products so that you are aware if anything is not working properly
• Work with product owners on any ad hoc or exploratory testing they require for upcoming releases
• Log pass/failure for tests in Azure DevOps. Log bugs if any are found.
• Work with team to validate and document any incoming bugs
• Review previously submitted bug and confirm/deny they are still valid
• Willingness to coordinate with teams in other time zones for shared code or data
• Develop high quality code, participate in code reviews
• Have a passion for delivering zero defect code and be responsible for ensuring the team's deliverables meet or exceed the prescribed defect SLA.
• Coordinate and participate in Continuous Integration activities, automation frameworks for testing and deployments etc. in addition to contributing to core product code.
• Interact with both business and technical stakeholders to deliver high quality products and services that meet business requirements and expectations while applying the latest available tools and technology.
• Effectively communicate status, issues, and risks in a precise and timely manner

Qualifications/Requirements

• A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
• 4+ years of experience in software development, software testing or quality control
• Certification and/or training in quality or testing certification. e.g ISO Service Management, CSTP, or ITIL desired.

Quality
• Strong attention to detail and extremely well-organized
• Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities
• Experience in Agile development using any of the methodologies like SCRUM is a plus.
