Job Description

Leads a team of people who design, develop, and program methods, processes, and systems to consolidate and analyze unstructured, diverse “big data” sources to generate actionable insights and solutions for client services and product enhancement.

As a member of the Business Operations team in the Oracle Advertising business unit, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end Business Intelligence function, from infrastructure, through data integrations, and data modeling, to stakeholder management. Your main responsibilities will be to manage a strong team of BI analysts and BI developers using Jira project management while working cross-functionally with Infrastructure, Engineering, Fintech, Finance, Revenue Operations, and Product experts to gather requirements, design, build, and implement Business Intelligence reporting; train, educate, and support Go-to-Market/Executive teams on reporting tools; analyze, digest, and make strategic recommendations about key financial metrics; transition Business Intelligence platforms; and automate financial operations. In this position, you will play a key role in developing an Oracle Advertising-wide Business Intelligence framework and business strategy. 

Combining management, engineering, analytical skills, and business acumen with a deep understanding of our data/processes/architecture, you will work closely with many functions within Oracle Advertising, including sales, product, and technical teams to help Oracle Advertising operate more efficiently and effectively. This function is equal parts Business Intelligence, data architecture, and business process automation.

Responsibilities

How you’ll be successful at ORACLE ADVERTISING & CX.

Day-to-day you will:

• Own Oracle Advertising Finance BI front and back end, including business requirements gathering, training, roadmap, documentation, project management, and prioritization 
• Manage migration from SQL-based AWS DB infrastructure to OCI 
• Implement and maintain the cloud infrastructure for the BI and Revenue Operations team
• Maintain data warehouses and implement best practices for data architecture improvements
• The document, assign and communicate BI development requirements to enhance the BI data models, automate business processes, and build new BI features
• Build, maintain, and migrate the ETL framework and ETL tooling
• Design and oversee the build of custom data entry and workflow tooling in APEX
• Be the revenue BI subject matter expert supporting sales reps, sales leadership, product, and business operations 
• Consolidate BI datasets into central Oracle BI systems like SI and Fusion BI
• Guide transition planning for the data model, db infrastructure, and OBIEE to Oracle Analytics Cloud
• Support monthly data refreshes and communications
• Provide ad-hoc finance support to Data Provider teams, Operations, Sales, and Solutions teams.

What you bring to the table.

Here’s a summary of the skills you’ll need for this position: 

• 10+ years of experience and engineering lead or business intelligence management role 
• Experience managing cloud infrastructure and cloud BI deployments in OCI and AWS
• Stellar people and stakeholder management skills with experience managing international teams
• Strong Data Warehousing, SQL, OracleDB, and ETL acumen 
• Terraform, unified cluster, distributed computing, db performance tuning, host management, etc a plus 
• Excellent analytical skills with experience handling finance/revenue data
• Experience building, maintaining, editing, optimizing, and wire-framing in Tableau, OAC, Data Visualizer, or other BI reporting tool experience is a must
• Proven ability to prioritize, plan, delegate, motivate, and communicate with a team
• Strong business requirements gathering and documentation skills
• Project management experience
• Capacity to multi-task and prioritize effectively, working extremely well under pressure
• Knowledge of advanced SQL, Oracle DB, Cloud Infrastructure, and DB design
• Demonstrated ability to self-motivate, establish strong working relationships, utilize resources within cross-functional matrixed teams, and be flexible within a fast-paced and changing environment job
• Experience owning and executing a BI platform migration
• Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain big picture perspective
