Job Description

Designs, develops and programs methods, processes, and systems to consolidate and analyze unstructured, diverse “big data” sources to generate actionable insights and solutions for client services and product enhancement.

Interacts with product and service teams to identify questions and issues for data analysis and experiments. Develops and codes software programs, algorithms and automated processes to cleanse, integrate and evaluate large datasets from multiple disparate sources. Identifies meaningful insights from large data and metadata sources; interprets and communicates insights and findings from analysis and experiments to product, service, and business managers.

Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 8 years relevant work experience. BS/BA preferred.

Our client databases contain the world's largest collection of energy usage data and utility customer data. From this tremendous data asset, we can develop the insights & models that make our customer engagement products relevant, help us measure the results of our programs, and give our clients insights about their customers that they can use in other channels and products.

We are looking for a Principal Data Scientist/MLE with a passion for technology and innovation who is curious and willing to learn. As a Principal Data Scientist/MLE, you will work with amazingly talented and dedicated teams including data scientists, software engineers, product managers, user experience researchers, client success engineers, sales and more.

Requirements:

• MS or PhD in computer science, data science or a related field
• 8+ years of experience as a data scientist, machine learning engineer or similar
• Competency in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Software Engineering and Databases
• Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow or Pytorch, Pandas, Scikit-learn, (Jupyter) Notebook, PySpark, SQL, Git, Jira, and Unix commands
• Good communication skills
• Team player
• Remote work in the US
