Job Description

The Oracle Advanced Customer Services organization is looking for a Data Scientist who can utilize data modelling and engineering skills to solve complex data issues for ACS customers. This role will assist ACS Pre-Sales Team which includes: Sales, Solution Management and Delivery of these services through the customer lifecycle. The individual will identify and recommend solution(s) to customers on how to utilize data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence techniques to capture, import, curate, analyze, predict, data needs to achieve customer business and operational benefit(s).

Responsibilities

As a Data Scientist you will be responsible as the expert for formulating delivery of technical and functional data support activity to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction. The role focuses on large to complex data opportunities that require creative and complex solutions that help solve customer business needs through the curation of data. This individual will also be responsible for developing and delivering KPIs to showcase the predictive models/outputs and present/demonstrate the solutions to the clients.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years' experience in the field

Background in:

  • data science, statistics, mathematics, computer science, and

engineering

  • Knowledge of programming languages Python, R, SQL, Scala, Java, emphasis on python and SQL
  • Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark
  • Build models with Python and machine learning libraries (Pytorch, Tensorflow), Big Data, Hadoop, HBase, Spark, etc
  • Familiarity with business intelligence tools
  • Background in Oracle application workload preferred
  • Advanced degree, Masters in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Math, Engineering with an emphasis on Machine Learning and practical industry implementations.
  • Big 5 experience a plus: Deloitte, PWC, Accenture, IBM, KPMG, etc.

Additional Details

  • Direct experience with machine learning and AI technics deep learning, clustering and natural language processing
  • Advanced ability to perform exploratory data analysis and data visualization skills
  • Work on decision support areas such as anomaly detection, fraud detection, recommendation systems, personalizer, content moderation and forecasting.
  • Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Contribute and follow data science process including tasks and deliverables related to requirements, data discovery and extraction, model development, to implementation
  • Ensure high-quality data and understand how data is generated out and experimental design and how these experiments can produce actionable, trustworthy conclusions.
  • Experience in data analysis and databases in a business environment utilizing business intelligence and large-scale complex data sets
  • Work on building and running ACS services for the customer data lifecycle of discover, ingest, transform, curate, analyze/learn/predict, and measure/act.
  • Capable of working independently and efficiently

  • Strong drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques.
  • Work with fellow data scientists & architects to build out and maintain all parts of the services lifecycle
  • Ability to work independently and with team members from different backgrounds
  • Ability to quickly understand challenging business problems and uses cases across industries, finding patterns and insights within structured and unstructured data across industries, like financial, agricultural, transportation, food, manufacturing, logistics, energy and other industries.
  • Ability to communicate complex data in a simple, actionable way
