Job Description

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.

• We are looking for a Principal Machine Learning Engineer to join the Measurement Applied Research team at Oracle Advertising.
• Moat by Oracle is a measurement and marketing analytics suite designed to help advertisers, publishers, and platforms measure media performance across the breadth of their digital and TV advertising campaigns. It operates as part of Oracle Advertising, a division of Oracle chartered to empower advertisers to maximize performance and drive better outcomes through high-quality targeting data, innovative contextual technology, and powerful measurement solutions.
• In support of achieving MOAT measurement business objectives, the Applied Data Science Team conducts product and client research and provides direct client support to drive product adoption. By developing best practices for campaign execution, we provide the guidance that helps digital advertisers grow their business.

As a Principal Machine Learning Engineer within the Measurement Applied Research team, you will drive the design, build and adoption of a Data Science Compute Platform. You will also support development of machine learning solutions that the Applied Research Measurement team is chartered with building. You will be writing code, designing system, completing programming assignments, and performing testing and debugging of Oracle software. You will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies to solve real-world problems in a collaborative, agile environment

Role

• Develop major and minor software solutions.
• Work with Data Scientists to translate Data Science and Machine Learning into Product Enhancements.
• Own and drive improvements to System Architecture and Technical Roadmap
• Mentor junior team members
• Conduct applied research to answer key internal questions that help inform and accelerate product development efforts.
• Code methods using Big Data tools/languages.

Prerequisites

• Have at least a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related engineering field, Masters preferred..
• Have minimum of 10 years of professional full-time work experience in the technology field building and supporting large scale, highly available applications
• Experience with CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes
• Strong programming skills in Java and Python
• Solid understanding of agile software development practices
• Demonstrated Domain Expertise in Machine Learning with focus on NLP technologies.
