As a recognized authority and leading contributor within their practice, this senior-level consulting position provides consistent high quality and innovative solution leadership to a project team. Leads the solution design and implementation aspects of engagement(s) ensuring high quality, integrated software solutions within constraints of time and budget.

Analyzes business needs to help ensure Oracle solution meets the customer’s objectives by combining industry best practices, product knowledge, and business acumen. Exercises judgment and business acumen in selecting methods and techniques to deliver functional and technical solutions on non-routine and very complex aspects of applications and technology installations. Provides direction and mentoring to project teams, and effectively influences customer leadership on key decisions. Supports the business development efforts by pursuing new opportunities and extensions. Collaborates with the consulting sales team by providing domain expertise. Resolves complex customer issues by recommending and implementing solutions. Demonstrates expertise in multiple business processes across two or more product families or ability to architect and design technology solutions encompassing multiple products and make decisions based on impact across the stack.

8-10 years of experience relevant to this position including 4 years of consulting experience. Prior team leadership or management experience preferred. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience preferred. Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to build rapport with team members and clients. Strong influencing and negotiation skills. Ability to travel as needed.

Oracle Data Science Engineer - Data Brick and Snowflake - Technical Manager

Position Description:

The Oracle Analytics Consulting Practice for North America Consulting is chartered with helping customers successfully leverage their investment in Oracle software for maximum returns. We assist and guide our customers by developing data integration and analytic reporting strategies and solutions, creating implementation roadmaps, performing assessments, and full-life cycle implementations of Oracle data science, data integration and analytics solutions in the cloud and on-premise. We are looking for manager/director level consultant with significant hands-on experience working on data science projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand customer’s requirements and produce advanced analytics and data integration solutions that meet their needs.
  • Performing highly complex data science tasks
  • Building and executing on repeatable cloud solutions
  • Delivering hands-on cloud computing services
  • Assist with creating new industry-focused solution innovations
  • Building cloud native applications using modern development technologies
  • Develop solutions that follow product development guidelines and are in-line with established design standards and approved architectures using Oracle technology.
  • Transfer product knowledge to customers to reinforce training and ensure adoption.
  • Resolve or escalate client issues as appropriate to support and engineering teams.
  • Collaborate by sharing knowledge and best practices within the practice.
  • Develop peer network through which to provide and receive product and skills assistance. 

Job Requirements

  • 8-10 years of experience relevant to this position including 4 years of consulting experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Management Information Systems or equivalent experience
  • Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus, including statistical machine learning, artificial intelligence, natural language processing.
  • Working knowledge in any of the following areas:
  • Data Brick as primary skill.
  • Snowflake as secondary skill.
  • Cloud computing platforms, development and/or integration, networking and firewalls
  • ETL and Oracle Analytics platform products, including Autonomous Data Warehouse, Oracle Data Integrator and Data Science Cloud
  • Agile, SCRUM, SDLC, DevOps, database, rapid and iterative technical design/implementation based projects
  • Programming and scripting languages including: Python, Scala, R, SQL and etc.
  • Solid understanding of data science concepts
  • Experience in logical data modeling and data transformation
  • Strong communication skills. The ability to work in a collaborative and energetic environment with other technology and business disciplines.
