Job Description

We are looking for a trained data scientist and a bright mind to be part of our financial crime compliance analytics team. The chosen candidate will be tasked to work together with the rest of the development team and help create machine learning frameworks for our customers. Your primary focus will be in applying machine learning algorithms, data mining techniques, doing statistical analysis, and building high quality data science applications integrated with our products. 

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or related technical field or equivalent practical experience
  • 2-5 years' experience of product-oriented data science work experience
  • Strong quantitative skillset with proficiency in areas of data science, machine learning, statistical analysis, statistical model validation and implementation
  • Strong ability to program using Python
  • Knowledge and direct experience in advanced statistical techniques and concepts including classification, segmentation, statistical hypothesis testing
  • Experience in adopting machine learning techniques like regression, clustering, ensemble models, neural networks etc.
  • Experience in creating high quality visualizations for data exploration, model evaluation and interpretation purposes
  • Able to balance and prioritize multiple concurrent projects effectively
  • Eager to learn and work in an agile environment 
  • Self-motivated, responsible, and accountable
  • Excellent communication skills

Preferred Skills

  • Exposure to or interest in financial crime domain
  • Knowledge of Jira, Git/SVN, Jenkins 
  • Knowledge/experience with SQL and/or any cloud technologies
  • Experience with Docker & Kubernetes
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD for machine learning model deployment (MLOps)
  • Should have worked in an Agile Team

Responsibilities

  • Understand complex design requirements and develop efficient python code to implement data science pipelines and API frameworks
  • Create high quality test data for enabling the functional testing of APIs
  • Formulate analytical problems into actionable research and applying advanced machine learning techniques for problem solving
  • Work on decision support areas such as anomaly detection, fraud detection, Customer segmentation, Risk scoring
  • Contribute and follow data science process including tasks and deliverables related to requirements, data discovery and extraction, model development, to implementation
  • Review the deliverables throughout development to ensure quality & traceability to requirements and adherence to all quality management plans & standards
  • Work effectively with Tech Leads and Developers to create and maintain the overall priorities and success measures for the enterprise
