Job Description

Designs, develops and programs methods, processes, and systems to consolidate and analyze unstructured, diverse “big data” sources to generate actionable insights and solutions for client services and product enhancement.

Interacts with product and service teams to identify questions and issues for data analysis and experiments. Develops and codes software programs, algorithms and automated processes to cleanse, integrate and evaluate large datasets from multiple disparate sources. Identifies meaningful insights from large data and metadata sources; interprets and communicates insights and findings from analysis and experiments to product, service, and business managers.

Job duties are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. May have project lead role. 5 years relevant work experience. BS/BA preferred.

Responsibilities

The data science team at Oracle Analytics works on diverse data science/ML problems on enterprise data such as invoice payment prediction, churn prediction, demand prediction and recommender systems. We use a combination of technologies including text processing, information retrieval, natural language processing and time series prediction.

As a member of the Data Science team, you will perform the following tasks
- Understand background literature/relevant research in the problem domains
- Processing, cleansing and verification of data (Data Engineering)
- Adhoc analysis and visualization of data
- Develop machine learning models using pyspark, scikit-learn, keras, tensorflow, pytorch etc.
- Work on data pipelines for deploying the machine learning models

Good programming/software engineering skills and prior industrial experience in data science/machine learning is required for this position. Experience in creating/deploying models in Spark environments is desirable.
