As a Research Intern - AI Research, you drive the research projects that address the everyday challenges that happen on urban roads, ones that do not have standard solutions available.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

• Conduct research to solve critical issues where a solution is uncertain and highly ambiguous
• Propose and execute alternative solutions and challenge the status quo
• Implement research ideas, conduct experiments and summarize results and findings
• Publish findings and new methods to top-tier conferences and journals

WHAT YOU MUST HAVE:

• Enrollment in a PhD program in an AV-related field (e.g. computer vision, machine learning, robotics, control) with multiple research publications in top conferences or journals; we also consider exceptional MSc/BSc students
• Strong expertise in machine learning / computer vision / graphics / robotics
• Track record of driving ML research projects from start to completion, including conception, problem definition, experimentation, iteration, and publication
• Strong programming skills in Python and/or C++
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Experience using deep-learning frameworks, e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc
• Experience in deploying perception algorithms and models into real-world environments
• Experience in the autonomous driving industry.

The salary range for this position is $28-$68 hourly. Compensation will vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. You may also be offered a bonus, restricted stock units, and benefits. These ranges are subject to change.
