Job Description

The Project Manager role will be responsible for the successful execution of key initiatives for NLP within the Markets Electronification program. The Electronification Program is a key priority for Citi and is focused on addressing the many transformational changes emerging technologies are bringing to Financial Services. Within the Electronification team, the NLP technology team is tasked with building tools and frameworks that enable data scientists to conduct machine learning activities at scale. The team also delivers workflow automation solutions leveraging the NLP services. The role requires strong project management skills with specialization in projects centered around data and analytics for capital markets products. In addition to strong execution skills, this role will require an ability to understand and communicate intricate technical details.

Responsibilities:

• Negotiate and establish priorities with business and development managers
• Front to back management of deliverables across development teams and ensure timelines & milestones are met in all project phases.
• Function as the spokesperson and primary point of contact to business for numerous technology teams
• Develop a detailed understanding of financial products in capital markets and use of ML solutions to add business value
• Take a ‘hands-on’ approach in analyzing technical issues and partner with engineering teams on resolution
• Produce detailed use cases to guide the design and development of applications

Required Skills:

• Extensive experience with JIRA, Agile Project Management
• Experience in data analysis using Python, SQL a plus
• Financial product knowledge (cash and derivative instruments) a plus

Knowledge/Experience:

• 3+ years of experience as a Project Manager in a Global Markets business environment
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. 
• Experience in managing projects centered around data and analytics for capital markets.
• Data Analyst experience is preferred.

• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills with tremendous attention to detail
• Understanding of PMO principles and objectives
• Aptitude to tackle and resolve complex, often ill-defined issues
• Agility to simultaneously work well independently and within a team environment across the globe with other subject matter experts, analysts, developers, and business partners
• Ability to translate business requirements into functional specs

Qualifications:

• 5-8 years of experience
• Strong academic record, ideally with a degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or other analytical background.
• Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
