Job Description

Citi is running a strategic Innovation Lab in Tel Aviv, developing advanced financial technology products within a dynamic ‘start-up like’ environment. The NLP and advanced engineering Group is utilizing data science, machine learning algorithms, and advanced AI technologies to solve complex business problems.

We are looking for an agile, passionate and skilled R&D Manager to lead a department of Engineering and Data Science professional Team Leads that are highly skilled and experienced in the field of Machine Learning and recommendation systems.

The ideal candidate is a strong leader, an experienced R&D manager that breaths and lives technology, and is passionate about staying up-to-date and current with the most advanced R&D developments.

This role is reporting directly to the Global Group Manager and drives the day to day execution as well and in charge of building best in class R&D department with solid infrastructure and processes.

What will you do?

• First and foremost, be an inspiring leader. Such an individual that people wish to follow and work with.
• ·Manage a department of ~20 employees, managed by 5 strong team leads in the field of engineering and ML.
• Lead key projects with R&D to support business goals, while ensuring all R&D projects are implemented on time and within the budget.
• Enhance agile approach and assist in building a well-organized and well trained department of R&D.
• Determine, define and execute improved technologies used by suppliers, competitors and customers.
• Investigate new technologies and novel biomarkers.
• Support group manager to hire and develop R&D personnel.

Articulate a strategic vision for the R&D department that includes engineering efficiency and best-in-class technologies.

What do you bring?

• At least 12 years of experience in a management role in SW dev organizations
• At least 5 years of experience in managing multiple disciplinary R&D teams
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field is a must.
• Ms.c degree is a big plus.
• Vast experience with managing multiple team leads and engineers across different projects/products in Scrum structure is a must.
• You bring engineering best-practices, strong know-how in development methodologies and an amazing approach to building things from the ground up.
• Technical background in Machine Learning, Interaction Systems, Intelligent Agents, Data Analytics, Recommendation Systems – a huge advantage
• You eat, breath and play in scrum processes and methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills– ability to explain complex requirements in simple words
• Proficient in English
• Fast learner - ability to work and adapt in a fast-moving industry
