The Data Architecture Junior Analyst is a seasoned professional who stays abreast of developments within their own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering the role and position of various applications within an enterprise topology. Recognized technical resource for the application and design of data, integration, and information within an organization. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information.

Possesses effective communication and diplomacy skills necessary to guide, influence and convince multiple stakeholders, including technology peers, functional stakeholders, and product owners. Delivers impact to the understanding, clarity, and direction for strategic data endeavors. Provides advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of multiple areas of the organization. Outcome of one’s domain impacts the overall performance and effectiveness of the enterprise architecture group.

Responsibilities:

  • Conceive and construct conceptual, logical, and physical data architectures.
  • Reconcile and design integrations for mainframe, distributed, Big Data, and Cloud data platforms.
  • Evaluate and reconcile data integration software and capabilities of major programming languages used in data processing.
  • Direct program level data architecture solutions and roadmaps, providing leadership throughout.
  • Conceive, compose, and present data architecture concepts and ideas to multiple, diverse audiences
  • Pursue outcomes and solutions in an open-minded and inquisitive manner, maximizing the inclusion of ancillary group and stakeholders.
  • Communicate problems, solutions, and roadmaps in a logical, organized, and effective manner.
  • Evaluates and reconciles program and project objectives against the enterprise data strategy, while maintaining an effective risk control for the enterprise.
  • Works in conjunction with information owners and technology partners to define and implement defined roadmaps.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years’ experience in data architecture or another architecture discipline.
  • Substantial skillset, understanding, and ability to construct multiple data architecture artifact types.
  • Refined communication, negotiation, and presentation skillset
  • Experienced influencing, facilitation and partnering skills
  • Knowledgeable understanding of the data and information technologies, software, and data platform categories being used and proposed, and how they are suitably integrated.
  • Experience working and interacting in large projects, providing the appropriate data architecture support leading to successful outcomes.
  • Analytical, flexible, team-oriented and have good interpersonal/communication skills

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Data Science or equivalent experience
