In that context, the Data Technology area plays a critical role as it includes (1) the management of the central data platforms (from Data Warehouse, Data lake, Streaming platform and Analytics and also Document management and Regulatory reporting platform), data assets (acting as a central hub of data and redistributor across the environment) and services (from Data management to value generation services for applications and users). Besides the pure data scope, we leverage the data to understand customers deeply (2)managing the informational, but also the operational, customer systems. Finally, closing the loop, (3) we manage the technologies and applications to personalise the engagement with customers, both from the sales and the servicing points of view.

This role is the leader that will drive the execution of the strategic portfolio of technology initiatives that mean to put the customer at the centre, leveraging the customer data to personalise the experience of the customers.

This requires a leader that can generate a strategic drive towards a customer centric, data driven organisation by continuously evolving the customer, personalisation and data capabilities and focusing the projects from business areas in creating value for customers.

He/she will work closely with business partners to accelerate our overall customisation capabilities like the Customer MDM (Informatica), the Personalisation engines (Adobe and Salesforce), the Streaming platform (Confluent Kafka) and Advanced analytics (Spark, Dataiku). He/she will work closely with various business areas to source and incubate new customer-centric use cases and shape them into new initiatives that drive growth, digitalisation and efficiencies. This will only be possible by also driving the improvement and leveraging our data capabilities such as Data lake (Cloudera Hadoop), Data Warehouse (Teradata), Data services (MongoDB), Visual analytics (Tableau) and Cloud (AWS,GCP).

The candidate will help create the strategy for customer centricity, as well as the overall data vision and strategy, the execution roadmap and then lead the delivery for Mexico leveraging our wider domain expertise across data architecture, digital/Omnichannel data innovation, Advanced Analytics, and Data Insights/Visualization. He/she will provide execution/delivery leadership of all transformation and BAU initiatives

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the technology strategy for customer centricity leveraging the data capabilities, from the vision through the roadmap into the execution and delivery.
  • Establish business engagement capability to define and initiate new transformative and fully customer-centric initiatives against business objectives across different business lines.
  • Drive maturity in data-led innovative thinking amongst our top business execs and stakeholders through new tangible, market-leading initiatives and capability building including the adoption in the different Mexico business areas.
  • Leverage of our data and analytics capabilities, generating collaboration with the wider business and decision management teams.
  • Apply and scale agile delivery practices across the bank and the D&A area.
  • Lead the funding process for these capabilities by driving business cases that leverage the customisation and data capabilities and help improve them, maintaining the financial overview responsibility for the portfolio.

Experience Required:

At least 15 years of experience with relevant experience in the following:

  • Experience leading transformational initiatives of digitalisation, customer centricity or data transformation in leading organisations
  • Experience leading a technology organisation of critical importance in a leading organisation, ideally in the financial industry
  • Experience in engineering: designing, building, delivering and operating critical solutions
  • Expertise in leading the adoption and transformation to an agile software delivery and product development, ideally also applied to the customer or data domain
  • Expertise in enterprise and application architecture
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to interact and influence senior stakeholders and drive cultural change in the internal area and in the business in general
  • Knowledge of trends in the technology, and particularly data and analytics, landscape with practical knowledge in Data science (Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence)
