Job Description

The Specialized Analytics Sr Analyst will be responsible to build models and tools to target prospects in digital, spanning across search, external affiliates, display, and home pages under the supervision of a manager. These models will be used for credit cards and deposit products (checking, savings, CDs, MMA, etc.) and Mortgage. This role will partner with cross functions such as Marketing, Products, and Technology to identify opportunities, problem solve, and implement solutions. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Excellent communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits. Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization. Work and performance of all teams in the area are directly affected by the performance of the individual.

Responsibilities:

  • Build predictive models leveraging machine learning and deep learning techniques, in accordance with Citi Model Risk Management policy and regulatory requirements
  • Leverages a variety of tools (e.g. Python, R, H2O, etc.) to help predict, improve, and measure the success of key business to business outcomes
  • Responsible for documenting data requirements, data collection / processing / cleaning, exploratory data analysis, model techniques and outcomes
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 0-5 years of experience
  • Advanced analytic ability and problem solving skills to proactively address business questions with innovative data driven solutions
  • Expert with machine learning and deep learning models
  • Expert with big data tools
  • Ability to build partnerships with cross-functional teams in order
  • Working experience in a quantitative field, Financial/Credit Card industry
  • Willing to learn and can-do attitude
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be organized, detail oriented, flexible and adaptive to matrix work environment

Education:

  • Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience
