And what do you do during your dual studies?

The course of studies extends over a period of 3 years and ends with the Bachelor of Science. The theoretical part takes place at the Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg (DHBW) in Mannheim. The theoretical and the practical part change every three months, so that you spend half of the semester at the university and the other half of the practical part at the Schwalbach location.

The study program Data Science and Artificial Intelligence is characterized by the combination of business sciences and computer science. The main areas of study include concepts and methods of business administration as well as basics of IT, current methods of computer science, modern IT technologies and especially the handling of Big Data. The objective is to generate information from large amounts of data (Big Data) and to derive recommendations for action. Cloud computing, artificial intelligence and machine learning (learning from structured and unstructured data) complement the course.

What qualifications should you have for your dual studies?·

• You have an enthusiasm for IT and business topics
• You are motivated, self-organized and can think analytically
• You enjoy working in a team and showing initiative
• You have a talent for organization and a sense of responsibility
• You are motivated, committed and flexible 
• You have good IT skills (Excel, Word, Power Point)
• You have a good command of English and are dare to communicate 
• You have a very good general university entrance qualification
