As a Principle Data Scientist in our Aerospace IT Advanced Analytics Team, you will work as an internal consultant to deliver meaningful analytical solutions to help accelerate or automate critical business decisions. You will help in providing improved data insights that will guide our strategies and achieve our business goals. Act as a leader in helping to drive business change through various techniques including AI/ML, network optimization, simulation, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive the interaction with Honeywell internal business partners to define, design, develop, and deploy new advanced analytic (AI/ML) solutions to customer problems using data insights derived from quick prototyping of multiple ideas
• Define requirements to effectively work with development teams to create new analytic solutions
• Build robust data pipelines to support new AI/ML solutions
• Evaluate potential 3rd party solutions for high impact general business problems where AI/ML can have an impact.
• In these instances, you may be asked to lead a project with a vendor to drive value back to Honeywell
• Train and work with business stakeholders to integrate analysis driven inferences into their daily business process
• Collaborate with other analytics teams to leverage their business understanding and analytics environments to improve our divisions AI/ML capabilities.

YOU MUST HAVE

• Bachelor’s degree
• 10+ years of functional or technical experience working with data analytics / large data sets
• 5+ years of experience working with SQL and Python
• Significant experience with modeling and development (ML, optimization, simulation, statistics)

WE VALUE

• Master’s degree in computer science, applied mathematics, statistics, software engineering, physics, or related discipline in marketing and analytics
• Aerospace and/or Supply Chain experience
• Significant SQL, Python/R experience as well as NoSQL, Docker, Linux, Terraform a bonus
• Develop and fine tune AI algorithms and ML models to address specific business challenges.
• Understanding of best-in-class model and data configuration and development processes
• Experience in end-to-end development cycle from prototypes to a robust production environment
• Fluent in building data extracts with big data with Snowflake, SAP, Alteryx, Informatica, SQL Server, etc
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in applied AI/ML and determine the relevance to the business.
• Proven leadership, mentorship, influencing, problem solving, and decision-making skills. Foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the Aero IT team.
• Work across the network to ensure data is complimentary and not conflicting with other extractions / reports
• Ability to work with internal customers and seek out business problems that can be solved with Data
• Outstanding verbal & written communication, can present complex concepts to leadership with clarity
• Experience with visualization software (Plotly/Dash, Tableau, PowerBI, Qlikview, Spot fire, d3.js)
• Experience working with remote and global teams
• Consistently makes timely decisions even in the face of complexity, balancing systematic analysis with decisiveness
