What you’ll achieve

As a Director of Data Science and Data Engineering, you will be part of our Global Growth Marketing organization which is spearheading Dell’s Digital Transformation by driving innovation in the way we deliver advanced Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technology that can help us better serve the needs of our customer, optimize our customer experience, marketing touchpoints and optimize our business outcomes.

This position will merge data science, data engineering and AI/ML to help teams transform data into actionable insights and actions at scale. The candidate will use technical knowledge and industry expertise to formulate product strategies and identify how to accelerate our embedded Data Analyst, Data Scientists and Data Engineers to deliver better models that can integrate seamlessly with our global processes.

This role will contribute to deliver a world class Growth Marketing Engine that will enable our Sales and Marketing teams to work at full velocity to meet our customer’s needs.

You will:

• Build, train, optimize and deploy data science, artificial intelligence and machine learning models across a variety of applications to optimize processes across our entire customer lifecycle.
• Design & build scalable, efficient & automated processes for large-scale data analysis, machine-learning model development, model validation and serving.
• Lead technical standards to solve business problems leveraging machine learning that can be applied and re-used by our multiple data science teams.
• Lead team in stakeholder presentations & deliver projects on time with a long-term focus and proving your ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical professionals

Essential Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in applied Data Science, Machine Learning or Data Engineering for large scale and production grade operations with a degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree) in Business, Computer Science or Engineering.
• Strong background with applied linear algebra, calculus, probably and statistics.
• Experience with all stages in a data science project life cycle including designed & deployed Machine Learning models in production and Machine Learning techniques.
• Experience with Advanced Analytics, Software-driven Automation and Data Engineering withprogramming skills to retrieve, analyze and process data, and build machine learning models from the ground up.
• Experience with Agile and forming multi-disciplinary technology teams organized as products, pods or capabilities.

Desirable Requirements

• Experience in Software Engineering is a plus, with experience in Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment and object-oriented programming.
• Experience with modern storage technologies (such as S3, Blob Storage, Graph, Hadoop, etc.) along with advanced data processing algorithms (MapReduce, Flume, Spark, Parallel Processing, etc.).
