Your Role and Responsibilities

IBM Research seeks a post-doctoral researcher to join our quantum computing team. Candidates are expected to carry out high-impact theoretical research in collaboration with IBM colleagues.

Post-doctoral researcher in quantum computing and information theory: Post-doctoral researchers carry out high impact research in areas such as quantum computing and information theory, error correction, algorithms. Fruitful collaboration with other members of the quantum computing team is expected.

This position is located in the Yorktown Heights, NY area.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• A Ph.D. in Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related area. At least 3 years experience in quantum computing theory.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• At least 3 years experience in quantum computing and information theory, error correction, fault-tolerance, algorithm, and/or complexity theory. Proven record of research accomplishment.
