What you’ll achieve

As a Senior Engineering Manager you will be responsible for leading a team of multi-discipline engineers developing next generation Modular Data center solutions for DELL customers. You will work with MDC Architects, Product Managers, and DELL Services to deliver MDC solutions to key DELL customers. You will be responsible for optimizing engineering processes to meet the demands of a growing business.

You will:

  • Lead a team of 8 to 15 Engineers developing next-generation MDC solutions
  • Proactively engage DELL customers, collecting requirements and overseeing execution of those requirements.
  • Develop and Execute new development strategies and process improvements
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire team members
  • Lead the development of high-quality, complex MDC solutions

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering.
  • 12+ years of engineering experience, in the areas of power, mechanical, thermal, and electrical engineering and a minimum of 3 years of managerial and leadership experience.
  • Experience working directly with customer and ability to design and optimize engineering / product development processes.
  • Experience managing engineering teams focused on building products and service and a technical acumen to be able to guide and mentor engineering teams, who are Innovating in solving complex problems.
  • Perform yearly appraisals, evaluations and ongoing development feedback.

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience in the area of data center infrastructure
  • Knowledge of servers, storage and IT hardware
