Job Description

The Software Engineering team delivers next-generation software application enhancements and new products for a changing world. Works toward developing a fundamentally new approach to how business generates meaning and value from data. Develops new methodologies and tools to enable advanced modeling and statistical analysis against petabyte-scale data sets. Works with internal and external prospects and customers to prove the analytical capabilities in generating business insights from big data. Seeks to understand our customers most urgent questions, and use statistical methods and models to provide answers, either as part of pre-sales proofs-of-concept or as a paid engagement. Develops new practices and methodologies for working with the internal data technologies, often working closely with leading academics and industry experts. Works with engineers to create new tools and features that support sophisticated analytics within the database.

Accountabilities

• Interacts with business leaders to understand business strategy, conditions and problem areas Contributes to business strategy and influences decision making based on information gained from deep dive analysis. Produces actionable & compelling recommendations by interpreting, exploring, identifying and communicating insights discovered from complex data sets
• Partners with both internal & external sources to gather and examine data from disparate sources with the goal of discovering previously hidden insights
• Designs, develops and programs methods, processes and systems to consolidate and analyze unstructured data to generate actionable insights and solutions
• Develops and codes software programs, algorithms, and automated processes to cleanse, integrate and evaluate large datasets from multiple disparate sources
• Constructs predictive models, algorithms and probability engines; verifies model and algorithm effectiveness based on actual results

You Will:

• Develops and applies a broad range of techniques and theories from statistics, machine learning, and business intelligence to deliver actionable business insights to prospects and customers based on large-scale data
• Executes preliminary data exploration, data preparation steps and variable/algorithm selection as well as model development/validation and scoring Independently develops and drives testing of algorithms efficacy for differing analytical use-cases
• Generates new product requirements for the engineering group to enhance the analytics capabilities of the big data platform, in alignment with emerging subject-matter expertise
• Contributes to partnerships & relationships with third parties by developing/testing vertical/horizontal analytical solutions and product integrations

Essential Requirements

• 5 + years of software development experience
• Knowledge working with ELK, Grafana, Tableau to produce reports and/or similar
• nowledge working with Kafka creating event streaming / or similar is and advantage
• Knowledge creating microservices , dockers , containerization and such
• Knowledge with DB systems , SQL/NOSQL and such
• Excellent knowledge of Data Analytics and Data Algorithms
