Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated and collaborative Software Senior Engineer to join us on the PowerStore Serviceability software development team!This is a full-time individual contributor (IC) opportunity. 

In this exciting role you will develop product software for the groundbreaking PowerStore product portfolio. Dell Technologies award-winning PowerStore delights customers with a data-centric, intelligent, and adaptable storage solution for the fast growing midrange storage market.

On our team, we drive PowerStore Serviceability with the integraltoolset and infrastructure to detect, report, and correct system issues, both proactively and reactively. Our software expertly monitors customer environments and helps users plan for the future. Our team is collaborative, results-oriented, and flexible. Our working environment is positive and dynamic. The ideal candidate can be Remote anywhere in USA.

This role offers exciting opportunities:

• You will develop compelling Serviceability software across the expanding PowerStore portfolio, participating in all phases of software development.
• You will contribute to innovative PowerStore components while growing alongside a welcoming team of experts!

Here’s what we’re looking for in this role:

Essential Skills:

• Solid background in software fundamentals (design patterns, algorithms, best practices); solid understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies
• Python experience and related development technologies in Linux
• Database experience and skills (especially PostgreSQL)
• Experience with system/component performance analysis and related tools
• Strong communication skills to interface with the larger Engineering community
• Self-starter who effectively balances priorities in a dynamic environment
• 3- 5 year’s relevant software development experience

Desired Skills :

• Experience with Cloud platforms (e.g., VMware, AWS) and Virtualization (e.g., vSphere, Hyper-V)
• Experience with Data Science and related tools
• Experience with Java 8, RxJava, and Vert.x

Education :

• BA in Computer Science, similar engineering field, or equivalent related experience
