The OCTO Research Office (ORO) Brazil team is a fast paced and exhilarating part of the Dell Technologies Office of the CTO. What you’ll achieve

As a Data Science Advisor, your primary responsibility will be to research and develop state-of-the-art technologies to advance Dell’s portfolio, and to influence decision making based on deep-dive data analysis. You will produce actionable and compelling recommendations by interpreting insights from complex data sets. You will design processes to consolidate and examine unstructured data to generate actionable insights. You will work in close relationship with domain experts in a wide range of fields.

You will:

• Collaborate with internal and external teams
• Develop and apply a broad range of techniques and theories from statistics, Machine Learning, and Business Intelligence to deliver actionable business insights
• Develop and drive testing of algorithms’ efficiency for distinct analytical use-cases
• Perform end-to-end steps involved in model development while establishing subject-matter expertise
• Interact with business leaders to understand business strategy, constraints, and problem areas

Essential Requirements

• Written and spoken Advanced/Fluent English
• Solid and adaptable knowledge of programming languages and appropriate mathematical and statistical knowledge
• Knowledge and familiarity with core concepts of algorithm design and analysis
• Previous work experience in applied research environments
• Education/Experience:Master’s degree + work experience; or a PhD + work experience; or equivalent relevant work experience. A degree in STEM (Science/Technology/Engineering/Math) is preferable.

Desirable Requirements

• Solid knowledge and/or practical experience with NLP, and/or Computer Vision and/or Reinforcement Learning approaches.
• Solid knowledge and/or practical experience with time series analysis, data visualization, business logic processes and automation
