Job Description

We are seeking a creative individual to join our Data Science team in Smart Manufacturing and Artificial Intelligence (SMAI) group in Micron Technology. The SMAI team supports company-wide AI solutions enablement from the intelligent manufacturing to optimized the business operation. This team works in Micron Taichung site, but collaborates with worldwide users and developers closely and frequently. This team builds end-to-end solutions for helping the Assembly & Test (A&T) operations globally. The scopes cover from advanced package technology development, smart planning and execution, equipment and process control to product quality assurance. The delivered solutions impact the business includes that discover yield improvement opportunities quickly, mitigate manufacturing risks actively, improve the process optimization efficiently, and handle the quality deviation management easily.

Position Overview...

As a Data Science Intern at Micron, you will support SMAI applications development and test. The scopes include understand user requirements, analytic method exploration, prototype solution design and deliver. By partner with project team members, the intern would learn the required skills of building a scalable solution as well as the domain knowledges from assignments. They would enable data science methods on improving current system functionalities or performance, especially focus on A&T Quality and Yield Management Systems. These applications are essential in supporting operation monitoring, issues detection and deviation management. We're seeking for any talent who is interested in applying the state-of-the arts methods to solving the industry problems and has strong motivation of growing a career as a AI solution provider. The successful applications will have the opportunity to be offered for full time employment upon graduation.

Responsibilities:

• Introduce to A&T manufacturing flow and understand the business requirements
• Interact and work with project team in implementing a SMAI solution.
• Develop a prototype solution with required proof of concepts experiments
• Learn and deliver new features to the production systems

Qualifications & Skills:

• Decent programming skills in Python and SQL.
• Knowledges of structured data analytics and modeling, especially in statistical learning, machine learning and deep learning.
• Ability to demonstrate the analytical results by commonly used visualization tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, Streamlit, etc.
• Excellent English communication, especially in written and spoken

Education and Experience:

• First yer of Master in any below fields: statistics, computer science, applied mathematics, information technology, data science.
• Experiences in web application development will be a plus
