Job Description

As a Manager in the Customer Programs team, you will be responsible of a team of reliability analysts and support in-service product performance. Leading a team of data science and aftermarket services analysts/experts, you will have the opportunity to participate and lead integrated product teams (IPT) and influence the redesign of a part which could affect the safety, reliability, maintainability & availability of a product or the cost of operation of P&WC engines. You will also be expected to act as a coach and mentor to your team and act as a subject matter expert with you peers.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Be a subject matter expert for analyzing and presenting product performance data.
  • Support Subject matter expert for the front-line team & provide product knowledge to prepare conferences and customers dedicated technical reviews
  • Enable compliance with Airframe OEM, Operators and Airworthiness authorities’ obligations
  • Ownership of Product Performance - including safety, reliability, maintainability and availability of the product in service
  • Work closely with Engineering and Customer Service Engineering to improve product performance status and Ensure an execution plan in place to drive product performance improvement strategy
  • Coach & train reliability analysts on executing daily tasks & on handling exceptions
  • Drive Product performance KPI to improve customer’s experience
  • Resolving delivery risks for product performance
  • Performs day-to-day product event management requirements
  • Ensure processes are in compliance with Customer Service Operating Procedures (CSOP)
  • Set priorities for the team to ensure task completion on time, perfect quality and within budgetary constraints
  • Perform individual’s performance review and provide coaching/mentoring to the team.

Data Science Capabilities:

  • Supervision of a team of data science experts
  • Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.
  • Able to ingest, clean, process and analyze multiple data sources data-at-rest and data-in-motion
  • Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of data set and data gathering techniques.
  • Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets.
  • Use AI/ML predictive modeling to increase and optimize delivery assurance, inventory reduction and other business outcomes.
  • Develop testing framework and test model quality.
  • Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy.
  • Interpret and effectively communicate data insights using data visualization
  • Coordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes.

Required Qualification and Skills:

  • Any bachelor’s/ master’s degree with 10 to 15 years of experience
  • Experience user of the Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of Lean tools and concepts
  • Understanding of the aerospace industry, aero engines and good analytical capabilities.
  • Coding knowledge and experience with several languages: Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript, etc.
  • Knowledge and experience in statistical and data mining techniques: GLM/Regression, Random Forest, Boosting, Trees, text mining, social network analysis, etc.
  • Experience querying databases and using statistical computer languages: R, Python, SLQ, Hive SQL, etc.
  • Experience in one of the following libraries: TensorFlow, PySpark.
  • Experience creating and using advanced machine learning algorithms and statistics: regression, simulation, scenario analysis, modeling, clustering, decision trees, neural networks, etc.
  • Experience with distributed data/computing tools: SAS ViYa, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Jupyter Notebook, Git etc.
  • Experience visualizing/presenting data for stakeholders using: PowerBI
  • High level of English language proficiency in listening, speaking, reading and writing.
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Must have good organizational skills, be able to prioritize work, accurately perform duties with constant activity in the area and pay close attention to detail.
  • Must be a self-starter requiring minimum supervision and perform with a degree of accuracy in the execution of job assignments.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment, relate to others and maintain flexibility with schedules of the department
  • Good inter personnel skills and ability to lead a diverse team
  • Ability to lead changes and business process transformation / re-engineering capability
