Job Description

A Day in the Life

Together with our team of experienced IHS consultants you will be working on hospital challenges and help our clients to deliver quality and improve healthcare. 

The projects we do differ from developing and streamlining patient-focused care pathways, improve operational excellence and planning by data analytics, or help hospitals to innovate and optimize, e.g. by implementing Same day discharge, Remote care, Regional collaboration, New care concepts, Growth programs. In everything we do, we combine hard and soft skills to make a difference and drive the change!

As an intern, you support the team by performing analyses, team up in preparing working sessions and will join our client teams during your internship. Great opportunity to learn, experience and add value to our healthcare system!

Must Haves

  • Pursuing a degree in higher education - in the final years of master studies
  • Analytical background – Industrial Engineering, Technical Medicine, Business, Healthcare Management, Data Science degree or related
  • Fluent in Dutch and English
  • Strong in quantitative competencies combined with a curious and empathic approach
  • People and project management skills: planning & coordinating, communicating & influencing, relationship building and achieving milestones
  • Strong analytical skills: interested in optimization and improvement work, and problem solving in general
  • Very good knowledge of excel; knowledge in data science tooling (e.g. PowerBI, VBA, Python) is a plus
  • Outstanding academic performance

Program details

  • Start date: October 2023 onwards
  • Duration: 4-6 months
  • Work model: hybrid (>50% at the office/ at clients)
  • Based in central Netherlands, with possibilities to travel through the country
  • Full-time/part-time (available for at least 3 days)
