Job Description

A Day in the Life

  • Design, plan, execute device data management plans for clinical research projects,
  • Design, development, evaluation, and modification of computer programs to analyze and evaluate clinical data,
  • Recognize inconsistencies and initiates resolution of data problems. Implements data management plans designed to meet project and protocol deadlines, provides expertise in the design and development of clinical trials, protocols, and case report forms. Plan and Coordinate programming for database manipulations, transfer, and analysis of data for internal and external clients,
  • Recognized expert, manage large projects or processes and exercise considerable latitude in determining deliverables of assignments with limited oversight from manager,
  • Support and interact with medical affairs, clinical research, reimbursement and other teams and stake holders to establish divice data related needs and identify appropriate processes and deliverables to meet those needs,
  • Work with databases (i.e. Oracle, CSV from multiple studies or sources),
  • Interacts with Data Management and Biostatistics staff to negotiate timelines, responsibilities, and deliverables,
  • Prepare analysis datasets, data summaries, dashboards,
  • Performs medical device data management / Data Mining / Data Analysis / Validation,
  • Actively involve in developing, revising, and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions,
  • Works independently without appreciable direction.

Must Haves

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or Data Science and minimum 2 years of relevant experience,
  • Experience using clinical data management system (i.e. Oracle Clinical / Medidata and SQL) and data analysis (i.e. PYTHON, R, MATLAB and data visualization). Extensive experience with data mining and processing,
  • Advanced programming skillset. Capable of import and export functionality using programming tools / applications from various external sources,
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication, and technical database skills.

Nice to Haves

  • ORACLE PL/SQL; MATLAB; JAVA, EXCEL VBA; SCRIPTING; C#; PYTHON: R; Tableau,
  • Relevant experience within medical device industry,
  • Solid understanding of clinical device/drug development process,
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills.
