A Day in the Life

The AI Data Science Manager plays a critical role as both technical leader and functional manager.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Provide technical direction and guidance on algorithm and AI/ML development.
• Help select tools, equipment and infrastructure for prototyping and production environments.
• Assist team in planning and prioritizing their work.
• Work with project and business leaders to communicate status, technical risk, and needs.
• Partner with external companies and contractors as needed.
• Mentor, coach, and support engineers on daily tasks and career development.
• Plan for team growth through a combination of headcount and contractors.

Must Have:

• Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience
• Experience with machine learning using large datasets
• Experience designing and developing algorithms
• Medical Device or other regulated industry experience

Nice to have:

• Experience with image and video processing
• Working knowledge of python and/or MATLAB
• Software engineering experience
