Job Description

As a member of our team, you will also have opportunities to manage your projects from the planning and design phase through development and maintenance. This position includes conducting systems analysis, writing business requirements, leading testing campaigns, and supporting enhancements to existing applications. The position will also involve working closely with data scientists, analysts, and modelers to design, manage and champion the department’s data strategy and product development practices. Additionally, it involves evaluating our business processes and driving efficiency and process improvements through the application of systems tools and/or automation. Applicants should possess strong written and verbal communication skills, a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, a strong analytical ability, and a willingness to respond to ad hoc requests from customers in a timely manner. The candidate must be able to work independently with limited supervision after training, as well as be able to perform under pressure and multi-task.

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Experience eliciting and documenting complex business and functional requirements from project stakeholders.
  • Experience developing test plans and executing test scenarios to ensure the highest quality deliverables.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field/equivalent experience is preferred.
  • At least a 3.0 overall undergraduate GPA2
  • Experience with the System Development Life Cycle
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of Data Management concepts, including data modeling, architecture and data governance is preferred.
  • Insurance industry experience is a plus
  • Scrum certification(s) or prior Agile experience is a plus
  • SAS and SQL experience is a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel are required

Please note this is a hybrid position which requires 3 days a week in our office in Washington DC area.

Annual Salary

$51,000.00 - $154,000.00

The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
