Wells Fargo is seeking an Infrastructure Engineering Associate Manager to help manage the Infrastructure Operations on the Fraud AI Platform. The Fraud AI Platform team is a newly created team at the bank that is building a new Data Science platform to solve real world fraud problems and help reduce our fraud loss year over year. Members of this team will be coming in at the ground floor, with the ability to help drive the vision, design, and implementation of the new platform. Team members will have the freedom to innovate and deliver real capabilities back to our bank, saving our customers time and money as we reduce fraudulent activity. This manager will own the server infrastructure across the Fraud AI platform and manage a team of engineers responsible for keeping it running. We're looking for a flexible technologist who has experience managing platforms with both physical presence and cloud.

This team is responsible for the high availability of various services, data stores, and infrastructure to ensure that the data science team and fraud analysts have access to data at need. This role will be responsible for overseeing a small team responsible for server maintenance and compliance, building an automation roadmap reducing the manual touch points, establishing and maintaining engineering processes and ensuring data ingestion into the platform.

In this role, you will:

  • Participate in various Information Technology projects intended to continually improve and upgrade the infrastructure
  • Evaluate new software and hardware required to meet a business need or to make a process more effective
  • Manage day to day team work operations including creating technical designs and implementation plans
  • Identify project risks and resource requirements
  • Identify opportunities for internal and external software solutions which could be leveraged to meet target state architecture goals
  • Design, build, deploy, and maintain Infrastructure solutions through collaborative efforts with team members and third party vendors
  • Work with application and technology owners to bring them into the Situational Awareness Environment
  • Review high impact outages to ensure the proper processes and procedures are in place to avoid problems in the future
  • Make decisions that significantly influence companywide business and financial operations
  • Direct the daily Risk and Control flow of operations, focusing on policies, procedures, and work standards to ensure success
  • Recommend course of action to maintain cost effectiveness and competitiveness
  • Consider industry offerings, open source communities and standard practices for delivery the infrastructure
  • Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including managers
  • Lead team to achieve objectives
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Infrastructure Engineering
  • Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring talent

Required Qualifications, US:

  • 2+ years of Infrastructure Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 2+ Years experience supporting Linux based operating systems
  • 2+ years troubleshooting and resolving production issues
  • 2+ years providing or overseeing engineering tasks for one of the following Elasticsearch, Neo4J, Spark or equivalent big data platform technologies
  • 1+ years of leadership experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience building and enforcing engineering processes
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform or other major cloud provider
  • GCP Experience is preferred
  • Experience migrating legacy applications to cloud
  • Kubernetes and Docker experience

Pay Range:

San Francisco, CA-$115,900-$206,100 Annually

This role is not eligible for VISA sponsorship.

Pay Range

$96,600.00 - $171,800.00 Annual
