Wells Fargo is seeking a Analytics Senior Manager (Digital Analytics Manager) in Cards and Merchant Services (CMS).. This is a senior role responsible for development and execution of our analytics strategy supporting our digital marketing team. The position will be part of the team responsible for setting our digital analytics strategy to help provide insights and actions that influence our future digital card’s strategy. In this role, the candidate will lead the digital analytics team and enable the development of end to end analytic measurement and strategy development for digital credit card acquisitions. The Digital Analytics Manager will also oversee and assist the team in development, implementation, and deployment of end to end measurement, tagging, tracking, database connectivity, reporting and web analytics for digital acquisitions. The leader must demonstrate flexibility to lead an organization ensuring high quality business analysis, profile tracking, and improve the financial expectations of the business through various data led initiatives. This role also includes working with both internal and external stakeholders to identify and solve business problems in a timely manner and to drive transformational growth to our credit card business. The candidate must possess excellent relationship management skills and have the ability to work across all levels of the organization.


In this role, you will:

  • Manage and develop team managers and lead multiple teams to deliver best in class finance practices to enhance business management, executing on key initiatives, and processes across products and lines of business
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute primary and secondary market research projects or results oriented intelligence that support each of the different lines of business within a major Wells Fargo business division
  • Engage and influence most experienced leaders companywide to communicate and provide strategic consultation
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for alternatives, approaches, or solutions through the use of robust financial, economic model, and complex non-models related to complex financial products, pricing strategy, regulatory standards, and other financial performance metrics and financial forecasting
  • Provide support for designing, testing, evaluating, implementing, measuring, monitoring, and managing finance models and strategies across acquisitions, account management, and collections
  • Determine appropriate strategy and actions of Analytics team to develop business or finance policies, approval or denial strategies, business line assignment methods, collections, and recovery strategies
  • Interpret and develop compliance and risk management requirements for supported area and work with other stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives for external agencies, regulatory bodies, and industry forums
  • Collaborate with and influence lines of business, business partners, Operating Committee, Chief Marketing Officer, external agencies, regulatory bodies, industry forums managers, experienced consultants, and executive management on issues with high, critical impact on the success of the company
  • Lead a team of managers, consultants, or cross functional virtual teams in accomplishing goals
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Analytics
  • Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy
  • Ability to review & understand intricate data tracking strategies to effectively identify digital credit card marketing acquisition initiatives. 
  • Defines successful tracking elements to distinguish touchpoints from upstream digital marketing placements through microsite landing page, to online application, underwriting and through account onboarding and activation.
  • Understanding of highly complex end-to-end sales funnel touchpoints across multiple platforms and databases to define infrastructure enhancements, program performance, attribution logic, and optimization opportunities.
  • Familiarity with data process maps, data logic documentation and develop data workflows.
  • Strong basis in Google Analytics tagging and tracking strategies to effectively track and identify marketing acquisition campaigns and channel engagement. 
  • Ability to provide coaching and assistance to help digital analysts translate business questions into data requirements to mine data, create datasets, and develop analytic insights with actionable recommendations to improve customer experience, marketing campaign performance, and optimize marketing spend. 
  • Drive best-in-class customer acquisitions in the 3rd party digital marketplace in a nimble and agile manner
  • Maintain, enhance & lead the digital analytics team though the development of end to end analytic measurement and strategy development for digital credit card acquisitions
  • Ensure acquisition strategies in the 3rd party digital marketplace are in line with the short and long-term growth & profitability objectives of the overall organization
  • Oversee the development, implementation, and deployment of the end to end measurement, tagging, tracking, database connectivity, reporting and web analytics for digital acquisition
  • Deliver high quality business analysis, profile tracking, Key Performance Indicator Reporting & other ad-hoc analytics requests used to measure and improve the financial expectations of the business
  • Build and lead a data science and analytical function to support targeting, optimization, and data-driven business decisions
  • Partner with the Digital Marketing Strategy team to help influence and set the go-forward Digital Acquisition Marketing Strategy for 3rd Party
  • Serve as analytics relationship lead with Credit Card affiliates (including Credit Karma Light Box strategy)
  • Drive analytics supporting compensation strategy for Credit Card affiliates
  • Partner with business to enhance/modify governance & optimization strategy for Credit Card affiliates

**Due to a city-wide mandate in New York City, all individuals who perform in-person work or interact with the public during business must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. At this time, this position falls under the scope of this mandate. **

  • NY–NYC Pay Range: $133,300 - $237,100


Required Qualifications, US:

  • 6+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 3+ years of management experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in digital analytics
  • 6+ years of digital related analysis tools, key performance monitoring & other supporting techniques
  • Vast experience with Google Analytics
  • Experience working with 3rd Party Digital affiliates
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with track record of driving results through cross-functional organization
  • Proven experience partnering with a group of employees with IT, finance, and project management backgrounds
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with tight timelines
  • Highly motivated, self-directed
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications including strong Excel and VBA skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, IT, Finance, or Accounting is preferred
