Job Description

The Associate Director within Metrics, Analytics & Performance (MAP) has experience in clinical operations and is responsible for leading the development of analysis, modeling, and visualizations in support of user needs across Global Clinical Trial Operations (GCTO).

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Leading data architecture and modeling team to build analytics solution with best practices
  • As a product manager, creating analytics solutions using enterprise BI tools to answer critical business questions for GCTO
  • Managing project timelines to enable accurate reporting and functionality during SDLC
  • Managing diverse projects and processes within GCTO/MAP Teams.
  • Champion data quality, integrity, and reliability by designing and promoting best practices.
  • Bridge the gap between BAs/Stakeholders and Technical team
  • Collaborate with IT/vendors on business requirements for new or enhancement reporting needs to support GCTO reporting.
  • Build relationship with IT, Platform and operational teams to build long term solutions for BI applications.
  • Suggest new ways of working and process improvement to develop BI tools
  • Vendor relationship management ensuring business requirements are clearly articulated and executed.
  • Manage developer and technical resources
  • Mentor and provide training to junior developers on development methods and MAP process to build solutions.
  • Collaborate with BA/stakeholders to foster increased understanding and utilization of Analytics tools and data provided.
  • Support business use cases based on existing Data & Analytics (D&A) products and link usage to business outcomes.
  • Lead the data ingestion, data transformations, data quality, data governance, advanced analytics, and data visualization.

The role must demonstrate appropriate our Company's Leadership Standards. Experienced with getting things done in a complex work environment is required.

Education Requirement:

  • BS (or MS) in Data Science, Computer Science, Management Information Systems or eqvuivalent

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Business Intelligence (BI) and Analytics using BI tools (Qlik/Power BI/ Spotfire)
  • Strong experience in data management (Data analysis, Data architecture, Data Modeling)
  • Strong experience of SQL, AWS cloud services (S3, EC2, RDS, Redshift), Oracle RDBMS, JIRA, Git
  • Strong experience in data visualization, infographics, and interactive visual storytelling
  • Strong experience with enterprise software delivery processes
  • Strong organizational, time management and project management skills
  • Experience in leveraging and managing third party vendors and contractors.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, with ability to work independently with minimum direction.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication (written and oral) skills
  • Have participated in SDLC Agile or Waterfall (Scrum or Kanban) project methodologies and practices.

  • Strong knowledge of Clinical Development / Operations.

  • GxP or other regulatory certified system experience
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, motivated by uncovering new opportunities to add value to the organization through DA&I.
  • Participate in strategic initiatives.

  • $130,960.00 - $206,200.00
