Therefore, the NJ work location for this role will be temporarily based and the exact timing of the departmental move to Rahway, NJ will be communicated at a future date.

Within our commercial Insights, Analytics, and Data organization we are transforming to better power decision-making across our end-to-end commercialization process, from business development to late lifecycle management. As we endeavor, we are seeking a dynamic talent for the role of Data Product Manager.

As a Data Product Manager, you will be working with a team of Data Product Owners and Stewards, assigned to different data and product domains within the organization. Teams will be working within therapeutic areas (Oncology, Pharma, Vaccine) and you will become a subject matter expert on data assets/products within the assigned domain and therapeutic area. You will have the opportunity to work with Data Product Owners on data products that span across therapeutic areas. Also, in this role, you will leverage strategic thinking, technical skills, creativity, and knowledge of Biopharmaceutical data landscapes to shape the product vision and strategy. You will partner with architecture, data science, and IT teams, as well as global and regional stakeholders to assess needs, develop the product strategy and roadmap. You will have the opportunity to deliver impactful capabilities that enable data-driven decision making across our Company's commercial division and realize value for commercial and marketing teams

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Translate problems, needs, and opportunities into the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the data platform supporting the HHIAD organization, aligned with business strategy and objectives
  • Conduct product stakeholder meetings and engage with senior leadership to continuously shape and evolve product vision, data pipeline, and roadmap
  • Develop and leverage the in-depth knowledge of biopharma marketing/ commercial analytics domains, data landscapes, and industry trends
  • Partner with stakeholders across HHIAD and the broader Human Health organization to implement robust refinement practices and customer feedback loops to ensure features and services delivered are aligned with business/ user needs
  • Partner with various business strategy and execution teams, internal data stewards, and 3rd party vendors to further develop and scale the company’s data assets
  • Work closely with Data Product Owners/Managers, Scrum Masters, and technical leads to optimize team setup, delivery model and resolve impediments to enable efficient and high-quality software development
  • Oversee and support Data Product Owners within specific data domains and therapeutic areas and provide them with guidance and leadership to deliver high-quality data products. Also, be available to support Data Product Owners across domain and therapeutic areas
  • Work independently under minimal guidance, ensuring alignment with management teams

Education:

  • S. in Engineering or related field, such as Computer Science, Data Science, Business, etc.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • 10+ years of relevant work experience, with demonstrated Data Manager and Product Ownership experience developing data and analytics capabilities in an Agile framework
  • Knowledge of data engineering capabilities and data science lifecycle
  • Relevant experience in Product Development Frameworks, System Development Life Cycle
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to quickly establish credibility and trust with a variety of stakeholders
  • Leadership skills, with demonstrated ability to set direction and lead/manage teams

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Relevant work experience with managing large portfolios of data products across domains
  • Understanding of Global Commercial and Marketing Analytics domains and data landscape
  • Prior experience in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Agile Certifications
  • AWS Cloud Certifications
