The Data Platform team in Data Labs IT creates end to end data solutions to support customer facing applications. This is an opportunity to join a start-up hub built within a major multinational with the goal to build innovative and cutting-edge apps within a cloud-based environment. You will be responsible for driving the next generation machine learning/ data platform and generate insights to improve animal wellbeing worldwide.

Job Description:

Working at the cutting edge of the Animal Health Intelligence division of our company (AHI), we seek a talented, multi-disciplinary, hands on Machine Learning engineer that will build scalable data science applications ready for production. As a member of the Data Platform team, you will have opportunity to work with a modern data architecture and experience cutting-edge cloud data tools. You will design/automate/deploy data engineering and machine learning pipelines. You will work in a DataOps/MLOps team with data engineers, cloud engineers, QA engineers and developers to bring customer facing applications in the Animal Health industry to life. This candidate will be instrumental in AHI Data Labs (AHI-DL) materializing and scaling unique B2B SaaS offerings for both livestock and companion animals.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Data Science, Biology, Mathematics or related field.

Qualifications:

  • 1 + years of experience working with big data – structured and unstructured
  • 1 + years of experience designing and implementing data engineering pipelines
  • 1+ years of experience developing machine learning models
  • Advanced knowledge in Python and PySpark
  • Working knowledge of one or more SQL languages
  • Experience with distributed computing and cloud computing
  • Knowledge of common machine learning and statistics frameworks and concepts

Preferred Experience And Skills

Experience working in a Data Science tool (Dataiku, SageMaker or Databricks preferred)

3 years of hands on experience in building data science applications and machine learning pipelines.

Development experience in at least one programming language: Python, Java, NodeJS, C++, etc.

Previous MLOps experience Experience with Automation tools like Airflow

Experience with cloud computing – AWS tools – such as Lambda, EC2, EMR, Cloud9Experience with version control/ project management tools – Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence

Experience with containerizing and deploying modelsExperience working with DevOps teamsKnowledge of machine learning model lifecycle management framework

Knowledge of core capabilities of model performance monitoring
