Job Description

We are currently looking for Senior Data Scientists (m/f/d) in the field of BI / Big Data (non-SAP) at our nationwide locations. As a Senior Data Scientist you will be employed in projects from all industries for tasks in complex data analysis and pattern recognition.

Tasks:

• You are responsible for setting the objectives, the data sources, the analysis methods to be used and the course of a project together with the customer.
• You quickly grasp the special features of the customer environment and the industry.
• With your mathematical background knowledge and an analytical-methodological approach, you determine the optimal course of the project with customers. 
• In doing so, you are responsible for all types of commercial valuations. 
• You manage a heterogeneous data & analytics team, which sets up the necessary IT infrastructure and prepares the necessary data for the core task of the required analysis.
• You carry out the analysis yourself with common methods and platforms (R, SPSS, SAS, KNIME...) and prepare the results in an appropriate visualization and comprehensibility.
• You recognize the consequences for the customer's business and convey this to both the department level and the management level. 
• In a board meeting at the customer, you discuss and present the findings and thus shape the further procedure together with the management. 

Requirements:

• You have extensive mathematical knowledge in the fields of statistics, artificial intelligence (machine learning, deep learning) and cognitive analytics.
• You know the current AI algorithms and can also process the complex results and are at least familiar with a platform such as R, Knime in depth. You are proficient in one of the languages ??commonly used in analytics, e.g. B. Python and corresponding frameworks (e.g. Tensorflow, PyTorch).
• You know the possibilities for analysis and data quality determination.
• Furthermore, you have knowledge of the CRISP-DM method and have already carried it out accordingly. You are open to alternative, agile approaches.
• You are able to negotiate with customers at management level and present results. Basic vertical know-how, e.g. in industry 4.0, predictive maintenance, NLP or fraud detection is available. 
• In your role, you lead small special teams.
• You have a university degree (Master or comparable) in the field of computer science, physics or mathematics with a focus on principles for statistical data analysis and cognitive analytics as well as extensive professional experience (> 5 years). 
• You already have professional experience in data mining / data analytics projects. 
• A PhD position would be desirable.
