Snowflake is a cloud data hosting startup founded in 2012 and based in California.

Snowflake offers a cloud data storage and analytics service called data warehouse-as-a-service.

Internship objectives

The objective of this internship is to give us a clear vision of the data science tools on the market that can be used in a Snowflake framework: added value, key features, use cases, strengths/weaknesses, licensing mode, performance, etc.

Tasks

• Skills development on Snowflake and GCP and certifications
• Benchmark and POC of one or more market solutions within our Datalab
• Definition of generic use cases / added value for our customers
• Mapping of the most innovative solutions including DataRobot, Go, Qubole, Dataiku, Node…
• Establishment of a comparative grid and prioritization
• Installation on our datalab and realization of POC / Demonstrations
• Raising awareness of teams and presentation workshops.

Profile

With a Bac+4/5 training in computer science (Engineering school or university) in the process of being validated, you are looking for an internship lasting 4-6 months (dates vary depending on the school).

Location

This position is based in Pessac within the Business Intelligence & Data Analytics unit of the Bordeaux service center.
